Black-owned businesses are integral to the economic wellbeing of the Madison and Dane County community. To support and empower Black business owners, the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce provides visibility, opportunities, and resources to their members. Every year, the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce hosts the Madison Black Gala (formerly known as the Black Business Awards Program) to celebrate the best of the best in Madison’s Black Business community. Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs are nominated and awards are presented for Community Leader, Lifetime Achievement, Young Entrepreneur, Emerging Business, Perseverance, and Innovator of the Year.
